About
Heart of the Castro Wedding Chapel has been providing affordable and customizable weddings to the gay and lesbian community since same-sex marriage was legalized in California in June of 2008. In November, California voters passed Proposition 8, making same-sex marriage illegal once again. The California Supreme Court is currently investiaging the constitutionality of Proposition 8 and there is hope that it will be repealed. Until then, Heart of the Castro will continue to offer our unique brand of urban weddings to opposite-sex couples. We can also perform commitment ceremonies or vow renewals for any couple regardless of genders.
The chapel is also available for all sorts of events and gatherings such as community group meetings, parties, or performances. If you would like to inquire about using the chapel space for any type of function, please contact us to discuss your idea.
