Times are tough economically, and for the same-sex wedding industry, legally as well. We at Heart of the Castro are trying to stick in there and monetize the chapel space as best as we can. The cold hard truth, however, is that we opened to perform same-sex weddings. Because of Proposition 8 making that activity illegal, customers are in short supply these days.
If you believe in marriage equality and you also believe, like us, that the California Supreme Court will overturn Proposition 8, then you can help keep Heart of the Castro open until that day arrives. Your donation will help pay for rent and bills so that we are still around when Prop 8 falls and we can go back to marrying any two human beings who love each other, regardless of their gender.
